Local Congressman Tours Queens Clinic
Tuesday, September 3, 2013Bronx, NY – New York Congressman Joseph Crowley recently took time out of his busy schedule to tour the James J. Peters Queens Community Based Clinic and to visit with staff and patients there. Mr. Crowley, a Queens native and Representative for the 14th Congressional District in which the clinic is located, serves as a senior member of the House of Representatives and represents a key New York voice on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. The Congressman has been a long-time supporter of Veterans and for Veterans health care and was the original co-sponsor of legislation to name the Queens Clinic after Sunnyside Queens native, Thomas P. Noonan, Jr., a Medal of Honor recipient from the Vietnam War.
